CBD Dose Guide: How much CBD is right for me?Updated 2 years ago

An outline for choosing your strength and dosage.

Everyone has to start somewhere, so if you’re new to CBD, we’ve got you covered in this CBD dosing guide! This CBD dosing guide should shed some light on finding the correct dose for you and valuable insights into CBD. Each product has a different dosage per serving. You can find the amount of CBD per serving size in the nutrition facts located on the label of every product. Once you know the amount per serving, you can decide on the right place to start.

What's your reason for taking CBD?

Answering this question can help you decide what dose is correct for you. We've condensed some of the top reasons for taking CBD  into three categories: clarity, calm, focus - pain management, and discomfort - sleep. Users generally feel clarity and focus with lower doses, whereas a higher dose can help with sleep, pain management, and discomfort.

How to think about dosing.

The amount of CBD needed per person varies, so we have compiled customer feedback. Here are some typical dosing amounts.

 Stress, Anxiety - 10 mg - 20 mg

 Help with sleep - 30 mg - 60 mg

 Help managing pain - 30 mg - 60 mg+

Our customers will start with these amounts and increase or decrease the dose by 5-10mg until they find your desired effect. If dosing by dropper doesn't work, we also offer CBD gummies and softgels with precise dosing amounts.

What is the best way to take it?

Our CBD oils are typically taken sub-lingually. Drop the desired dose under your tongue and hold it there for 30 seconds. Dropping the oil under the tongue is the fastest way to feel the effects. We hear customers say they have the best results when they drop their dose under their tongue and then swallow. You can also add it to your favorite beverage. Our CBD gummies and softgels take about  30-45 minutes to feel the effects. All methods are suitable, but most importantly, we recommend being routine with your dose. Be it in the morning with coffee, mid-day to manage stress, before bed to help sleep, or all three.

How can I tell if it's working?

See how you feel. CBD affects everyone differently. Since everyone's endocannabinoid system differs, some will observe the effects more so than others. CBD's effects can be discreet, and it will be more apparent to look for what you do not feel as opposed to what you do. Make it a habit. If CBD is new to you, we suggest you take it daily for a week. Keep notes on when you take it and how you feel to track your dosage. Generally, you'll feel the effects of CBD within 30 minutes; some may experience more subtle effects or take more time. You may notice a difference immediately, or it may take a little time. Either way, you may see the impact more if you focus on what you aren't feeling rather than what you are. CBD is most effective when you start a routine with CBD, so taking it habitually is recommended.
