Why Can’t MONTKUSH Ship to California or Tennessee?Updated a month ago
Due to state-specific regulations surrounding hemp-derived cannabinoid products, some MONTKUSH products are currently unavailable for shipment to California and Tennessee.
We know this can be frustrating, especially if you’ve ordered from us in the past. These restrictions are based on changes to state laws and regulations, so we’ve updated our shipping policies to remain compliant.
Tennessee
Tennessee has implemented regulations for hemp-derived cannabinoid products that restrict how certain products can be sold to consumers.
Under the current rules, affected hemp-derived cannabinoid products must be sold through a licensed retail location in a face-to-face transaction. Direct-to-consumer shipping of these products to Tennessee addresses is not permitted.
Because MONTKUSH primarily sells and fulfills orders online, we are unable to ship affected products directly to customers in Tennessee at this time.
California
California has also significantly changed its regulations for hemp-derived products.
For ingestible hemp products such as gummies, oils, beverages, and dietary supplements, California has placed restrictions on products containing detectable THC. Additional requirements affecting the types of hemp extracts that may be used in these products also took effect in 2026.
Many MONTKUSH products are intentionally formulated as full-spectrum products, meaning they preserve a broader range of the naturally occurring compounds found in hemp, including trace amounts of THC.
Because these formulas may not meet California's current requirements for hemp-derived ingestible products, we are unable to ship affected products to California at this time.
Why Did MONTKUSH Make This Change?
These restrictions are not a decision we made lightly.
Hemp regulations vary significantly from state to state and continue to change. We regularly review the laws affecting our products and update our shipping policies when necessary to keep MONTKUSH compliant.
Our inability to ship certain products to California or Tennessee does not mean that all hemp or CBD products are prohibited in those states. The rules depend on factors such as the product type, formulation, cannabinoid content, and how the product is sold.
Will MONTKUSH Ship to These States Again?
We hope so.
We regularly review state regulations and our available product lineup. If regulations change or we introduce products that meet the requirements for sale in California or Tennessee, we may be able to expand shipping availability in the future.
